Mediation

In mediation, the mediator acts as a neutral third party to assist individuals to engage in dialogue about a conflict, create a mutual understanding of each person's perspective, and come up with workable solutions for moving forward.

As a mediator, I do not take sides or give advice; rather, I work with everyone to identify the main areas of concern and brainstorm realistic solutions that everyone can agree to.

Mediation is particularly effective for issues such as:

  • Family conflicts (separation/divorce; eldercare; parent/teen)
  • Workplace conflicts
  • Neighbor conflicts

Mediation sessions generally last 2-2.5 hours.

Fee: $100 per hour

Please note: This is not a legal process and I do not give legal advice.  I will provide written summaries of what was agreed upon during mediation; however, I offer no opinion regarding the legal effect of any agreement made in mediation. If you need legal advice, please consult an attorney.
